As she is in the process of becoming a licensed counselor in the state of Arkansas, she is excited to be serving the Cardinal Care Center Community as a Life Coach. Leslie has a deep desire to walk alongside clients who feel broken, hopeless or alone, providing tools to move forward into whatever challenges lie ahead. She especially enjoys working with married couples, as well as with individuals who are struggling with relationships. As someone who has experienced significant losses, she has assisted many clients who feel “stuck” somewhere in the grieving process.

Leslie has been married to her husband for almost 30 years and loves spending her free time with him, traveling to see her children and grandchildren. After several decades teaching private music lessons and working in her church, she realized that she often engaged with students or church members “beyond the music” in order to encourage their hearts, leading them to overcome obstacles of fear, anxiety or past hurts. This realization inspired her to make that her ultimate aim: help people heal, grow stronger and move forward with hope.

Chelsie Kennedy, LCSW

Micah Counseling, PLLC

Hello, I am Chelsie Kennedy and am a licensed master social worker (LMSW) and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2017 with a Master of Social Work. After graduate school, I worked for two school years as a school-based mental health therapist and worked with children ages 4 to 11 and their families. While working as a school-based therapist, I had the opportunity to attend trainings in play therapy and learned that I love working with children and families. My favorite play therapy quote is, “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation (Plato).” At Cardinal Care Center, I enjoy working with clients of all age, but especially children and families.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three boys. In the evenings and on the weekends, you will find our family playing front yard football at our house, at a basketball tournament cheering for our boys or at a football game cheering for our boys.
